"Steady Growth in Exports of Small Power Equipment"
The total import and export value reached $5.1 billion , a year-on-year increase of 4.8% . In the first 10 months of 2024 , China's small power supporting equipment trade saw modest growth, with exports at $4.73 billion (up 5.7% YoY) and imports at $370 million (down 5.9% YoY) . Yu Dongke, Secretary-General of the Construction and Agricultural Machinery Branch of the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products (CCCME), projected that China’s small power equipment exports would maintain steady growth for the full year of 2024 .
Among small power equipment, motorized lawn mowers for parks or sports grounds, marine outboard engines and other marine gasoline engines, snow blowers and non-self-propelled compactors, and unspecified gasoline engines saw year-on-year growth in total trade value. Meanwhile, non-road spark-ignition generator sets and non-electric portable chainsaws experienced declines .
